Does BoMan have a customer file?
Yes, there is a distinct database that holds
Customers names and addresses and basic contact information like telephone
number and email address, so that you can use this information for letting
previous customers know of special offers, etc.

Does BoMan have an enquiry that lets you view the Customer Name and Address File?
Yes, you can see various list of customers. You can restrict the list by various criteria including listing all
customers with whom you last had contact in say March last year or even last
season (if you were using BoMan then). You can then mail shot all customers in
the list. The list can be accessed from the booking detail screen and you can
select to pull in Customer details. If you have entered a name on the booking
screen and you click to see the customer list it will only list customers with
that name. You can then choose the customer and his details will be returned to
the booking screen automatically.

How long does the schedule run for?
At least 100 years. If you change the date at
the top of the schedule (or use the calendar pop up) you can scroll to the year
2100, see the 21nd Century and make a booking! In fact the schedule will let
you scroll to year 2200 at least but the pop up calendar only goes to 2100.

|
Does the schedule show back to back bookings?
Yes, a cell on the chart will show a departure
marker and an arrival marker where there is an arrival and departure on the same
day.

How does the mail shot feature work?
Use the bookings enquiry screen to limit
the listed bookings, say for arrivals in a particular week or month, and then
push the export button. Alternatively use the Customer enquiry screen to list
names and addresses and Export from this list. This creates a file containing
basic identification information from the booking or Customer record (i.e. name
address, telephone number etc.). You decide the name and location of the file
and a .CSV extension will be appended to it. Using Word and its mail shot
features you can select some or all fields from the exported file and locate
them wherever you wish in a word document. You then ask Word to mail merge and
it will generate a document containing multiple copies of your letter (for
example) with individual details inserted from the exported file.

Can I print a single individualized Word
document directly from the booking screen, for example a confirmation letter?
Yes you can select and print a Word document
directly from the booking detail screen. BoMan will automatically trigger the
mail merge and print the selected document via Word. The document has to be
initially prepared in Word, but once done you simply request it to be printed
from the booking screen for any booking (or enquiry) you choose.

|
Can I upgrade from one edition of BoMan to another?
Yes you simply pay the price difference. So
you can start with the single user edition and upgrade as your demands
expand.

If a customer has stayed at the site before do
I have to re-enter his name and address details?
Address details are optional. However if you
enter them, then the next time they stay on your site when you enter the postcode and house number, the rest of the address, name, telephone, email etc.. will
automatically be displayed on the screen for you. Alternatively you can enter a
name and ask to see a list of customers with that name, simply select the appropriate
one and his details are returned to the booking screen for you.

|
Can I book a plot for the entire season?
Yes, there is no limit to the period of a
booking. If you do not tick any features for the booking it will appear as a
blue bar on the schedule and the plot will be unavailable for further bookings
during that period. This feature can be used to block out a plot that may be
under repair or for a seasonal booking of a plot. You can, for example, add a
charge of electrics to the seasonal booking when a customer comes to stay.

|
Can I automatically use bookings from the Internet?
Yes, BoMan has an Import feature that allows
you to pull in bookings from a file which has been created elsewhere (usually on
the Internet). Goughware can provide a web booking page which will produce
the file in the correct format. To see an example page, click here.
